When I originally decided to give this a try I vowed to try to post something everynight. It's been a week since my last post. Does this mean nothing is happening in my life. No. Does this mean I won't be keeping up with my previously self-imposed schedule? Maybe. Does this mean that this is going to be another long and generally boring post. Yup.
My ex-roommate-ex-brother-in-law-and-faraway-friend Doyce has had a really rough time of it recently and I'm feeling sorry for him and his family. Really he hasn't had that much trouble, but his family has and he is feeling powerless and sad and angry and frustrated all at the same time. His sister, Bonnie, who he is very close with (she is a seriously decent sort of human) just lost a baby. Regan Shea was her name and she was over 18 weeks premature. Bonnie's first child, Malik, was born 14 or so weeks premature but the hospital was able to stabilize him. Regan was just too small, she only lasted an hour. There is nothing that can be said that can express the sorrow. I barely knew that Bonnie was pregnant but there is a hole in my heart for her and her husband Reggie (also a seriously decent human) If there is anybody out there who reads this, send a prayer their way, OK? And Regan, blessed baby, may your joy and glory wherever you are be as intense as your stay here was brief.
